Finally, a new Newsletter has been sent out!

So, what's been going on?

Hi, everyone. Yes, it has been two years since I've sent this newsletter out. I apologize, and have to admit, with the relative ease of social media, I've been remiss keeping my diehard fans informed in this slightly more personal way (even given social media's toxicity, it still works for this purpose).

Life has been pretty darn busy these past couple of years to say the least, including the wedding of my daughter Audrey to her husband Mike, the birth of my second granddaughter Margot, the passing of my father Joe at aged 97, the adoption of our sons Emil and Xavier last year (that makes six children, if you're keeping score), a new day job and a bunch of other adventures I'm blanking on at the moment.

However, I've been meaning for a while to get some writing news out to folks, and with a book signing event coming in a couple of weeks, now's as good a time as any. To wit:

The Burlington (MA) Public Library, my hometown source of many books and wonders growing up, is hosting their Second Annual Local Author Book Festival, featuring a huge number of authors, including myself, alonf with those from Sisters in Crime who will be running a Mystery Making Improv Workshop!

Sunday, December 7, 1PM-4PM
Burlington Public Library, 22 Sears Street, Burlington, MA

I'll be signing all of my books in print of course, and hanging out as last year with some awesome creatives and, I hope, you! Admission if free of course. Think: Christmas presents!

"The Pull of Gravity" Short Story in Abyss & Apex Issue #95

In July, my new short story, "The Pull of Gravity" debuted in the online science fiction magazine Abyss & Apex. I like this one, and it's been a while since a new solo story has appeared (or for that matter, been written). It's still available below, just click and scroll to Issue # 95

Finally, I've been painting a lot. The spark was reignited on doing my brother & sister-in-law's house as a gift, then I've just gone crazy.

In the next update, coming in a couple of weeks, I'll announce something exciting: I'll be the featured artist for December in another online magazine. This was unexpected, and an honor to say the least.

I'm still painting, but at the moment, of you're curious, my ongoing gallery can be found here:
