Winter Cardinal, Acrylic on Canvas, December 2025

Yep, Christmas time means lots of paintings. I've regularly made paintings for my aunt Linda over the years. Felt like it was time for a new one. Cardinals have special meaning for her and my Mom, so this seemed like a good theme. 

and of course when I remember to, I took progression pics. It's fun to see how the painting progressed, and how when some aspects don't work, it's perfectly fine to change direction, as I did with the background for this one.
